Services for Dorris Allison are Tuesday.
Dorris C. Allison, 93, of Washington, IN passed away March 29, 2016. Born February 9, 1923 in Washington, she was the daughter of the late John and Zelma (Bacon) Goodwin. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She married Louis S. Allison, who preceded her in death in June of 2000. Dorris was very active in her church. She taught Sunday School for many years at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Cumback Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and the outdoors. She is survived by sons, Greg (Toni) Allison and Todd (Maureen) Allison; a daughter, Charlene (Gregg) Allison Bailey; two brothers, Bill Ray Goodwin and Nolan Goodwin; two sisters, Cleo Radcliffe and Joyce Arthur; six Grandchildren; seven Great – Grandchildren, and two Great – Grandchildren expected in the near future. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Louis. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church. Friends may call Monday, May 2, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gill Funeral Home, and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow after service at Bethel Cemetery.
