One arrested for battery…an accident closed 257 for a time on Monday
DAVIESS ARRESTS
-36-year-old Gilbert D. Toy of Loogootee was arrested on a warrant Monday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. Bond was set at $10,000 and bond was posted.
-Early this morning, 46-year-old Erick Hacker of Washington was jailed for domestic battery and battery to a child under. The arrest was made by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. Hacker was booked into the security center at 2:15 am today.

ACCIDENT
State Road 257 south at the intersection with 700 south was shut down at 4:30 or so yesterday following an accident. Official details were not available. The crash happened before 4-pm. Air Evac was dispatched and later told to disregard. Police reports say a driver was taken to the Daviess Community Hospital Emergency Room for a drug screen. Both lanes of the highway were reopened a little after 6-pm.
