Are kids healthier today than in the past?

Mark Wietecha,  President and CEO of Children’s Hospital Association says, “

Advances in medicine and public health have greatly improved the health of children over the last century. But, health conditions such as childhood obesity and asthma are now more common, as are behavioral problems. C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health was released Monday. The poll, developed in collaboration with the Children’s Hospital Association, will reveal adult perceptions of physical and mental health of children younger than 18 years old today, compared to when the adults themselves were growing up.

Wietecha says kids health starts from within the home, focusing on exercise and diet.
