Eric Wayne Snyder, 40, Monroe City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2016 after putting up a tremendous battle with cancer.

He was born August 18, 1975 to Dick and Vickie (Claycomb) Snyder. He met the true love of his life, Audrey, and was married April 20, 2013. He was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and dedicated his life to Jesus on May 31, 2015.
He had been a strong dedicated hard worker all of his life, having worked in the farming, plumbing and drilling, concrete and construction industries. He had a passion for doing the job right and took pride in his work. He was a loving husband to his wife and father to his sons, providing for his family. He doted over them, and was excited to learn he was going to be a dad again.
In his spare time he enjoyed anything and everything outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, play ball, and of course big trucks. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Eric was very genuine and kind, always cracking a joke and breaking the ice, and could put a smile on any face. He was known by many of his friends as “Pretty” because of his top notch attire.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Lanning) Snyder; sons Logan, Cole, and unborn baby “C”; parents Dick and Vickie Snyder; brothers John and his wife Andrea, Ryan and his wife Machelle; sister Emily Myers and her husband Bryan; sister in law Ashley Lanning and her fiancé Vince; nieces and nephews Carter and Kaiden, Benjamin and Trevor, Austin, Whitney, and Karsen, Derek and Lainey; his grandma Doris Snyder; and several aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents Denzel and Stella Claycomb, grandfather John Snyder, and father in law Chrispin Lanning.
A Celebration of Eric’s Life will be at 10:30 am Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Brenda Wick officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamline Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Friday.
