Washington man convicted of child molesting after 9 hours of deliberations

The verdict came in about 9 last night, 56-year-old Armando Bruno Morales was found guilty in Daviess Superior Court on all charges including two counts of Class A and two counts of Class C felony child molesting.

Morales was on trial after being arrested in January last year after an investigation revealed the crimes that had taken place over six years while he lived with a Washington family and worked as a minister at the church they attended.

The Washington Times Herald quoted Deputy Prosecutor Donita Farr as saying she was pleased and felt the jury delivered justice.  The defense said they would appeal after the June 2nd sentencing.
