Barb J. Padgett, 58, of Washington, passed away Thursday at 5:50 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born Feb. 21, 1958, in Washington to Dorothy (Kramer) and Willis Williams Jr.
She was a 1976 Washington High School graduate. She worked for Washington Community Schools for 30 years at Veale Elementary as an Instructional Assistant. She enjoyed working with children at her job. She loved her family and granddog and grandcat. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Surviving are husband Rocki Padgett, whom she married Feb. 28, 1975; son Darin Padgett of Washington; daughter Rochelle Evans (Jeremy John) of Washington; parents Dorothy and Willis Williams Jr.; four sisters, Linda (Ray) Wagler of Washington, Susie (Jim) Pfoff of Washington, Patty Robling of Florida and Beth Solliday of Patoka; granddog Fenster and grandcat Van Gogh; and mother-in-law, Norma Osmon of Washington.
She is preceded in death by son-in-law Colin Evans and a brother-in-law, Dean Solliday.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. service time at the church.
