It was a windy Saturday and Sunday

 

 

The high winds over the weekend resulted in several trees down in the area.  Some of those trees fell on power lines causing some outages.

The County Sheriff’s Department logs show trees were reported down on 200-West, on 57 north of Elnora, on 450-South near Camp Illiana, on 800-North east of 900-East, on 1600-North.  On 300-East there were three trees reported down.  Also a tree was down near the post office in Montgomery causing a power outage.

The city police logs reported trees and lines down on Viola Avenue, Bedford Forad, Dewey Avenue, Oak Grove Road, Apraw Road and Longfellow Drive.

Meanwhile across the state..

Indiana power companies worked Sunday to restore electricity to thousands of homes hit by Saturday’s high winds. More than 63,000 outages were reported by early evening Saturday. The number had dropped to about 7,700 by Sunday night. Duke Energy reported fewer than 4,400 customers were without power. The company said it expected all remaining outages to be restored by 6 p.m. Monday.
