Judith Ann Gerkin, 68 of Shoals passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
Judy was born on February 6, 1948 in Washington, IN. to Gordon L. Johnson and Irene M. (Novak) Johnson. She was a 1966 graduate of Shoals High School and was wed to Thomas W. Gerkin on May 13, 1967.
Judy was a former employee of Perfect Fit, Crane, and most recently Kimball Piano.
Judy enjoyed crafting and crocheting. Also when she got the chance, she loved to go to the casino. Most of all Judy loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband Thomas W. Gerkin of nearly 50 years; her father, Gordon L. Johnson; her three children, Misty D. Gerkin, Shawn T. Gerkin, and Angelique R. Gerkin; three grandchildren, Alexandria Gerkin, Nicholas Gerkin, and Noah Gerkin; three sisters, Trudy Huddleston (Jack), Charlene Sims (Stanley), and Cheryl Dickey (Eric); and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Irene M. Johnson; sister, Barbara Larrabee; nephew, William “Chad” Bauer; and step-mother, Erma Dillard.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Shoals Christian Church with a service immediately following officiated by Pastor Matt Sullivan.
