ARRESTS
-Keith L Knepp, 36 of Montgomery was arrested on Friday on an out of county. No bond was set at the Daviess County Security Center.
-One person was arrested after a 10:15 traffic accident at 5th and Hart in Vincennes last night. 20-year-old Brayton T. Fish was jailed for operating while intoxicated, minor consuming and possession of heroin.
2ND CRANE JLUS MEETING IS MONDAY
The 2nd meeting for the NSA Crane Joint Land Use Study is Monday at the Westgate Academy.
The meetings are meant to foster plans to help Crane interact in a better way with the local communities around the base.
The public can also comment on any problems are concerns they may have concerning the base.
Anti-terrorism, economic development, safety and water quality are also issues that are being addressed at the meetings.
The public again is welcome to attend the Monday night event from 6 to 8 at the Westgate Academy primarily for Daviess, Martin and Greene County residents.
Crane is the second largest employer in southern Indiana, contributing $2 million daily to the Indiana economy. In addition, Crane spends $1 billion per year in goods and services and provides $325 million annually in salaries and benefits.
COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY
Filling out financial aid paper work can be frustrating and time consuming for college students and parents.
Tomorrow is College Goal Sunday across the state.
The event takes place on the Vincennes University Campus at the Shake Learning Resources Center at 2pm. College Goal Sunday will also be at 2pm at the Classroom building on the Jasper campus.
Director of Financial Aid Mike McClure says students will need to bring a few thing with them to fill out the form properly.
McClure says they will also need to make sure to bring personal information like their social security number, and drivers license to fill out the FAFSA as well.
This service is free.
SANDBORN HOUSING GRANT
The Town of Sandborn is applying for owner occupied housing rehabilitation funds from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.
The grant, if awarded, will provide rehabilitation on houses owned by low to moderate income individuals living within the corporate limits of Sandborn. Town officials are targeting 20-percent of the houses assisted towards the disabled.
The resident must own the house they are living in. Houses being purchased on contract and singlewide trailers are not eligible for funding, Applications to qualify for assistance can be filled out at the Sandborn Town Hall on March 1st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and March 10th from 1 to 6 p.m. More information is available by contacting the Southern Indiana Development Commission at 812-295-3707.

Sectional tickets for the boys basketball sectional start Thursday at Washington High School. Tickets are 10 dollars each and are available at the athletic office on Thursday and Friday this coming week and on Monday the 29th. Enter Gate 6 of the school to get your tickets during the day.

Well, Vincennes University Finical Aid Professionals will be helping students fill out the application this weekend.
College Goal Sunday is scheduled for this Sunday February 21st at 2 PM.
The Vincennes Campus event will take place at the Shake Learning Resources Center on the VU main campus, and In the Classroom building on the Jasper campus.
