Ray L. Combs, 54, of Shoals, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10:27 a.m. at his home in Shoals. Born on February 21, 1961 in Washington, Indiana he was the son of Samuel and Josephine (Moffitt) Combs.
He was formerly a truck driver for Hall Brothers Trucking. Ray enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by two daughters Jessica and Kacia both of Winslow; son Dusty of Shoals; grandchildren, Ivory, Izik, Izayah and Jazlyn; one sister Ruby “Sue” Campbell of Shoals, and 4 brothers, James D. “Teddy” Holt of Shoals; Bernard “Corkie” Holt of Shoals; Robert Dale Holt of Bedford, and William David Combs of Norfolk, Virginia.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norman, Sherman, Lawrence and Dean Holt and a sister Clara “Peggy” Combs.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals, and the funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
