Firefighters respond to a house and barn fire in recent days

 

 

 

 

HOUSE FIRE

A fire at 311 Southeast 2nd   Street  in Washington Tuesday was due to old wiring.

The fire department responded to the house fire at 8:44-pm Tuesday.  The structure contained two apartments and two occupants were displaced.  There were no injuries.  Firemen were on that scene for about 90 minutes.

 

BARN FIRE

A turkey barn fire was reported on County Road 375 West on Wednesday morning.  The Washington Township and Plainville Fire Departments were called to the scene.  The fire was first reported at about 7:20-am.  Firemen were on the scene for about three hours.  No injuries reported.
