PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT

-There were no injuries when a truck hit two parked cars Saturday on west VanTrees in Washington.  The accident happened near Northwest 2nd.  Accident reports state that a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 55-year-old Richard J. Brown of Washington was eastbound on the one way street in the right lane.  Another vehicle was traveling beside him in the left lane.  Brown told police a cat ran into the road and he swerved right to avoid hitting it.  In doing so, his truck struck parked ’04 GMC Envoy in the rear. The truck continued on and hit an ’06 Toyota Highlander in the rear.  Brown’s truck was towed from the scene. Again there were no injuries.

MINOR ACCIDENTS

-Sunday at just after 4-am, a vehicle went off the road and into a field.  The driver was not injured.  The incident occurred on I69 at the 65 mile marker.

– The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 9:42-pm Saturday of a vehicle flipped over at Daviess County Road 1200-east and 200 North.  The driver refused medical treatment at the scne.  Authorities were on the scene for over an hour.

 

CAR FIRE

-The Washington Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at Memorial Avenue and 15th Street on Saturday.  Firemen arrived at 4:50-pm and saw flames coming from the hood.  The fire department was on scene for less than an hour.  There were no injuries.
