Hyla Jean Riggins, 81, died at 5:40 p.m. Saturday at Ketcham Memorial Center.
Born Sept. 1, 1934, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Hallett and Juanice (Love) Pownell.
She had worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane for 20 years. She was a member of Antioch Church in Bloomfield.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Jo (Paul) Williams of Odon; two sons, Ricky Lee Riggins of Vincennes and Stephen C. (Shannin) Riggins of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Oral L. “Pee Wee” Riggins, died Feb. 25, 2015. Also deceased are her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Poindexter-Mc-Clure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, with Revs. Arlend Pope and Ron Helderman officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
