M. Pauline (Ockerman) Reed, 99, of Odon, IN, passed away Tues. Jan. 19, 2016, at Timbers Nursing Facility of Jasper. She was born in Greene County, IN, on Sept. 10, 1916, to Kenneth and Ethel (Courtney) Ockerman.
Pauline was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and canning. She, also, enjoyed sewing and made clothes for her children. Pauline was the last of her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: one son, Mike (Teresa) Reed of Bloomington, IN, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great, great grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, John Reed; a daughter, Yvonna Flynn; a granddaughter, Penny Diane Nichols; two brothers, James Gilbert Ockerman and Fred Ockerman; and two sisters, Fannie Lowder and Georgie Gentry.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tues. Jan. 26, 2016, at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Kenny Nichols officiating. Pauline will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, the time of service, on Tues., Jan. 26th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
