Wilma “Sis” (Cox) Rode, 67, of Alfordsville

Wilma “Sis” (Cox) Rode, age 67, of Alfordsville, passed away January 5, 2016 at 10:23 p.m. at her residence.

She was born in Washington to Robert and Mildred (Shelton) Cox on April 22, 1948.

She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She loved spending time with her grandkids, cooking and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Rode, whom she married August 17, 1991, children; Shawn (Jenny) Gabhart of Alfordsville, Matthew Gabhart of Alfordsville, Natalye Gabhart of Evansville, and Nathan (Beth) Gabhart of Alfordsville, grandchildren; Bryce Fitch, Baley Gabhart, Kaitlyn Gabhart, Ashley Gabhart, Nick Booth, Matteson Booth, Logan Gabhart, Thaniel Gabhart, and Ethan Gabhart, brother Early “Bud” Cox of Washington.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Robert Kelly Gabhart, and a sister, Doris Adamson.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church with Pastor Keith Meece officiating. Burial will follow at Alfordsville Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm at Antioch Christian Church.
