Alva H. Cox, 84 of Petersburg, Indiana passed away at 8:36pm EST on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her residence.
Alva was born on February 24, 1931 in West Virginia. His father was Alva Cox.
He was married to Barbara Gene Jones who proceeded him in death in October of 2013.
Alva was a retired Coal Miner and worked for Old Ben Coal. He was a member of the United States Navy.
Four daughters survive, Chella Stenftenagel of Petersburg, Katherince Racso of Colorado, Cynthia Grabel of Petersburg, and Colleen Willis, who is deceased. Alva also has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private Services are planned for the family.
