Daviess County Police Report…

A Washington couple and their daughter ended up with pending charges after a series of run-ins with local police and city workers yesterday afternoon.   According to Washington Police Department records, around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the Police Department received a call from a resident on Maxwell Avenue about a pit bull running loose.  Animal control was dispatched to the area.  The pit bull was located and Animal Control workers attempted to issue a ticket for the loose dog.   According to the report, Trudy Godfrey was arrested on pending charges of disorderly conduct and public indecency.  The pit bull was impounded by Animal Control.

Then around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon, the Washington Police Department received a call from Rick Godrey.  Before officers could locate Godrey, Washington Dispatch received a second call and could hear screaming in the background.  When officers arrived at the residence at 1003 Maxwell Avenue, they arrested 29-year-old Alice Kay Flax on a charge of disorderly conduct and 50-year-old Rick Godfrey on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Disorderly Conduct.  Alice Kay Flax remains in the Security Center, Rick Godrey was released on a $2,000 bond.   As a result of a subsequent situation, Trudy Godfrey was also arrested on a pending charge of Driving While Suspended.

     The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested 43-year-old Darbi Grannan of Odon with a warrant to revoke a suspended sentence. ​Bond was set at $100,000. 

And Sheriff’s Deputies also arrested 30-year-old Jeremy Butcher of Washington for being an Habitual Traffic Offender.  He was released on a $2,500 bond.
