Ray King, Jr

Ray King, Jr.,96 , of Indianapolis, passed away on December 18, 2015.  He was born on July 2, 1919 in Davis Co., IN to the late Ray King, Sr and Mabel (Swords) King. Ray was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with things, and watching any kind of sports. Ray was very proud that he was able to live independently all the way through his 90’s.

 

Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Robert) Hohn; 2 granddaughters, Debbie(Bryan) Avery and Lisa (Dwight) Schultz; 1 great grandson, Alex.

 

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Carma King; brother, Charles King; 2 sisters, Betty VanDever and Jean Foster.

 

Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.  Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Gill Funeral Home, 308 East Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501, with one hour of visitation prior to service in the funeral home.
