Francis “Frank” J. Ochs, 71, of Montgomery

Francis “Frank” J. Ochs, age 71 of Montgomery, passed away at his residence on December 14, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. 

He was born February 25, 1944 in Washington to Jerome and Magdelene (Delaney) Ochs.

He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp serving during the Cuban crises and in Okinawa for 13 months at Camp Hansen. He enjoyed Nascar racing and was in the Sierra Motorcycle club and rode in the dessert in California. He collected car and truck models as a hobby. He worked at Sears as an Auto Manager for 15 years in California. He worked at the Odon Garage and Mike’s Auto Shop before having his own business, Ochs Salvage, for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Grannan) Ochs whom he married February 23, 1963, two sons; Matthew “Chuck” Ochs and Stan Ochs both of Washington, loving daughters-in-law; Annabell Ochs of Odon, Paula Ochs and Jamie Ochs, both of Washington, two brothers; Donald (Phyllis) Ochs of Montgomery, and Ronald Ochs of Loogootee, sisters; Mary Sue (Don) Wiscaver of Montgomery, Judy Eaton of Washington, and a sisters-in-law, Janet May of Evansville, Carol Anderson of Vincennes, and Bonnie Hedrick of Washington, special grandchildren; Damon Ochs, Jake Ochs, Nick Ochs, Courtney Ochs, Nick Ochs, Tayla Chambers, Audary Ochs and Leslie Moore, eight step-grandchildren, special nephews; Dave Phillips, Joe Phillips, Andy Dwaine Anderson, Shawn Fredrick, Cody Gross, Arran Hamill, Dallas Anderson, Andy Anderson, Bob Ochs, Don Wiscaver, & Michael Wiscaver, special nieces; Karen Hamill, Kimala Bowling, & Mary Kay Wiscaver.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Frankie “Frank” Ochs, a brother, John Ochs, 2 sisters-in-law; Mary Ellen Ochs and Peggy Ochs and a brother-in-law, Mike Eaton, one nephew, Rick Ochs and a niece, Phyllis Anderson, mother-in-law, Agnes (Peg) Lamb and father-in-law, Matthew “Pete” Grannan. 

There will be no services. Cremation has been scheduled.
