Friday night crash results in an arrest

Two people were taken to hospitals and one was arrested after a Friday night crash at US 50 and Troy Road.  It happened just before 10-pm when 55-year-old Blake Haag of Washington was driving a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme southbound.  He was crossing the eastbound lanes of US 50 when according to accident reports, he drove into the path of a 99 Dodge Truck driven by  38-year-old Betty Edmonson of Shoals. Edomonson  and three others in the truck signed statements of release, resfusing medical treatment at the scene.  Later, 36-year-old Monty G. Murphy of Shoals was taken to a hospital by private vehicle with abdominal pain.Haag was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and when released was booked into the Daviess County Security Center for operating while intoxicated, and, operating while intoxicated causing injury.  He was also cited for failure to yield and for having an expired plate.
