A Schwans truck from Washington turned over in Dubois County Monday afternoon.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department reports that 21-year-old Levi Dalton of Williams was driving the truck at about 4:30 on State Road 56 near Dubois Road.
For an unknown reason he crossed the center line, got back in the correct lane, then ran off the left side of the road and into a ditch. Investigators believe the truck is a total loss.
Dalton was trapped and had to be freed by the Dubois Fire Department. He was taken to a landing zone and later flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
