Gerald C. Bates, Jr., of Ireland, 33, was arrested Monday morning at 11am on several charges.
Dubois County Deputies assisted Community Corrections with a home search at 5029 W. State Road 56 in Ireland on a home detention participant, Tiffany Flynn. During the search, deputies and correction officers located a 12-gauge Benelli Shotgun, a syringe, 4 small individually packaged baggies of a white powdery substance, and 4 different types of prescription pills that Bates possessed without a prescription. All of the contraband located during the search belonged to Flynn’s fiance, Gerald C. Bates, Jr. Bates was charged with Dealing in Meth while in possession of a firearm, possession of Meth while in possession of a firearm, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and 4 counts of possession of a controlled substance.
