Pace Community Action Agency will start accepting application for their Energy Assistance Program next week.

The program assists qualifying low-income households with the cost of heating their homes during the winter months.  The program provides a one-time benefit to their primary heating source.  The program does not cover such costs as reconnect fees, deposits, or tank set fees.

Financial eligibility is limited to households with a combined gross income at or below 150% of the OMB Poverty Guidelines.

Last year’s program provided over $1.5 million in benefits, assisting 3,032 qualifying households in Knox, Daviess, Greene,  and Sullivan Counties.

Applications are available during reglar office hours starting November 2nd.  You can download an application at www.pacecaa.org.

Offices are located in  Vincennes on North 4th and are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30.  Washington offices are on Northeast 21st and are open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 to 3.
