Nancy Jo (Doan) Allen,55, of Washington passed away Sunday in Vincennes surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 8, 1959, in Indianapolis, to Herman Q. Doan Jr. and Bettie Doan. Nancy attended Brownsburg High School and was a proud member of Faithway Baptist Church. She married Denton Allen on June 17, 1989. She was a manager of Family Dollar in Washington from 2005-2010. Nancy loved her savior, her family, and all of her friends.
Survivors include her father, Herman Q. Doan Jr.; her husband, Denton Allen; her son, Matt Warner (Ellen); her grandchildren, Matilyn Jo Warner, Falyn Leigh Warner and Coltyn Quincy Warner; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Strobel.
Visitation will be held at Gill Funeral Home Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a graveside service at New Veale Cemetery starting at 2 p.m. Pastor Terry Fletcher and Steve Fulcher will officiate.
