Dan Jones is the new Daviess County Commissioner for District 1.

In a closed meeting last night, Daviess County Republican Precinct Committeemen picked Jones amongst five other candidates.

Jones will fill the seat vacated by Tony Wichman who resigned September 1st due to family and career reasons.

Jones is the President of ResCom Management Systems, a company he started with his family.  It  has grown from a small residential builder to an industrial contactor doing business with corn processing, chemical, and other facilities in the Midwest.  He holds a degree from Purdue in Construction Technology and Management.  He is a trustee of Calvary Missionary Church, an avid outdoorsman and raises long-horn cattle.

He’ll be sworn in on Monday.  His term runs through the end of next year.  The seat is up for election in the 2016 General Election.
