The Knox and Daviess County Local Emergency Planning Committees partnered with Duke Energy today to conduct a preparedness drill.
Daviess County Emergency Management Director Paul Goss says the drill centered around a hydrogen sulphite simulated leak the Edwardsport Power Plant. He said the Code Red Emergency Alert was launched as a drill to the people that would’ve been in the affected area.
Goss said the test went well and emergency personnel learned a lot..
Many local agencies were a part of the planned drill including fire departments, law enforcement, emergency medical, hospitals and emergency management,
