A suspect tried to attack deputies with a sword in a Friday incident in northern Knox County.
WTHI reports it all started at 12:30-pm when deputies went to an Oaktown home on a call. A man had barricaded himself in a garage with a samurai sword and a smaller knife.
Reports are the man tried to attack the officer however Knox County Sheriff’s Department Captain Charles Helderman managed to talk the man outside. The unnamed man was charged with attempted battery with a deadly weapon.
