Indiana State Police arrested a Newberry resident Saturday for possession of a hypodermic syringe and reckless driving with property damage. 27-year-old John L. Parkes was lodged in the Daviess County Security Center on a $2500 bond and did post bond.

Two Washington ment were jailed early Sunday morning for disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and battery on a police officer. 25-year-old Wendy Saintcyr and 27 year old Stanley Saintcyr of Northeast 4th Street were both released on bond.
