Rosemary Melton Sheley Emily, 90, of Washington, passed away at Washington Nursing Center on Tuesday. Born Dec. 19, 1924, in Martin County, to Agatha (Spaulding) and Andy Melton. She was a member of United Methodist Church.
During World War II she worked at Crane and in later years worked at Daviess Community Hospital in the dietary department. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Forrest B. Sheley; second husband, Blaine Emily; brothers Edward Melton, Frank Price Jr., Bobby Price; and sister Rita Lannan.
She is survived by two sons, John B. Sheley (Judy), of Chino Valley, Arizona, and Daniel L. Sheley of Washington; stepdaughter Myra Lowe (Robert) of Indianapolis; one brother, Richard Melton; four sisters, Barbara Fleenor, Katherine Davis, Linda Buchta and Carol Wirth; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
