Garland E. Killion, 81 of Plainville went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015 while surrounded by his loving family.

Garland was born to the late Earl Eldon Killion and Alma Jane Parham Killion on August 11, 1934.  Garland was a 1952 graduate of Plainville High School and soon after was married to Bonnie Lou KailKillion; who passed away Monday, September 3, 2012.

Garland had many interests and enjoyed helping out wherever he could.  He was employed at the Plainville Mill and Elevator, Plainville Town Marshal, Veteran Volunteer Fireman at the Plainville Fire Department, Community Corrections, Census Taker, Gentleman Farmer, Waste and Water Treatment Management,  a Boy Scout Leader, and a member of Parkview Christian Church.  He touched many lives and will be missed by many.

Garland leaves behind three daughters who adored him; Kathy  Petty (Thomas) of Plainville, Polly Fullom (Steve) of Pimento,IN, and Mary Lou KillionStaatsof Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Michael Petty, Matthew Petty, Justin Killion, Stephanie Deckard, Sarah Kimmich, Daniel Fullom, Wesley Staats, and William Staats; Great Grandchildren, Alysia Petty, Logan Petty, Matthew Urbain, AbbigaylUrbain, Allie Jones, Kassidy Schultheis, Tylie Walton, Hunter Killion, Madeline Deckard, Alexis Deckard, Bryce Deckard, Garrett Kimmich, Benjamin Nickless, Paul Nickless, and Jackson Kimmich.

Garland was preceded in death by his wife; Bonnie Lou Killion; a son, Randall Killion; and grandson, Jason Fullom; and a sister, Donna Sue Killion.

Visitation was Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Gill Funeral Chapel from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Parkview Christian Church at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior.  Brother Alfred Helms will be officiating the service along with the I.V.F.A.  Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery.
