Clara M. Mattingly, 78, of Washington, passed away at Golden Living Center in Petersburg at 4:03 p.m. Monday
She was born July 24, 1937, to Hilda Collignon in Jasper.
She graduated from Jasper High School in 1955. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isbella. She enjoyed hummingbirds.
Clara is survived by one son, Scott (Annette) Mattingly of Washington; one grandchild, Matthew Mattingly of Washington; and two stepgrandchildren, Zach Williams of Bloomington and Jonathon Williams of Vincennes.
Her husband, J. Robert “Bob” Mattingly, whom she married Oct. 6, 1960, passed away April 21, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her mother.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary.
