Local amateur radio operators will join with their counterparts from around the world this weekend for a 24-hour test of their emergency communication systems. “Field Day” is held each year to test the ability to set up emergency communications under field conditions and operate solely on emergency power systems to maintain skills and readiness to provide communications whenever needed.
The local club will be meeting at West Boggs Park in Loogootee.
