 VU President Richard Helton was honored on the US House floor Tuesday.
      8th District Congressman made remarks to congressional members saying “few have exemplified the University’s timeless motto, ‘learn in order to serve,’ more clearly than Dr. Helton.  He went on to say that under under his dynamic leadership, VU has become a cutting-edge center for career and technical education that offers students tangible employable skills and opportunity for lifelong growth.
      Helton announced recently he’ll retire effective the end of July.
