Daviess County Democrat Chairman Dave Crooks, a former Indiana State Representative says Glenda Ritz should not be running for governor on the democrat ticket.
Ritz, the state school superintendent, announced last week her plans to seek the Democrat nomination for Indiana governor.
Crooks is supporting fellow Southern Indiana resident John Gregg who gave Republican Governor Mike Pence a good run in the 2012 race.
Crooks says he believes that Ritz’s stock is overvalued as a statewide campaign for governor….
Crooks was referring to School Superintendent election of 2012. He says most didn’t know Ritz’s name until she was elected.
Crooks says why not let the guy who has the best chance of beating Pence and of bringing independents and democrats along actually be the nominee.
Gregg has been accused of being too conservative on some issues, but Crooks says if democrats go too liberal it may not appeal to the typical Hoosier voter.
