Indiana Conservation Officers are strongly encouraging the use of protective equipment, such as helmets, riding boots, shin guards, and gloves while riding ATVs after an accident in Dubois County that saw a Ferdinand teen life-flighted after an ATV accident Thursday morning.
Conservation Officers say that around 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning, 15 year old Kendra Steckler of Ferdinand, was found lying on Mariah Hill Road near Ferdinand with her ATV on its side. Authorities say that Steckler, who was not wearing any protective equipment, suffered head trauma. The accident remains under investigation
