Governor Mike Pence was in Southwest Indiana Tuesday

Governor Mike Pence was in Southwest Indiana Tuesday. The Governor’s day started in Vincennes, where he welcomed Franklin Well Services to Indiana. The company is relocating its headquarters to Vincennes, from Lawrenceville, Illinois after Indiana agreed to provide three point eight million dollars in tax incentives.
Don Jones, Chairman of Franklin Well Services says the company will add 92 new high paying jobs. That’s in addition to the 50 new jobs promised by its sister company Pioneer Oil. Both companies will share offices in the newly renovated Pioneer Oil Building on Main Street in Vincennes.

Governor Mike Pence made two stops in Washington Tuesday. After his morning economic announcement in Vincennes, the Governor stopped in Washington for lunch at the White Steamer, before heading to Jasper in the afternoon. WAMW’s Dave Crooks caught up with the governor at the steamer and asked the governor about the Hoosier economy.

Crooks then asked what need to happened to get better paying jobs to come to the Hoosier State

 

Tuesday evening the governor joined State Senators Jim Merritt and Eric Bassler, and Washington Mayor Joe Wellman on the podium for the Daviess County Republicans Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner.
