The unofficial start to summer in Washington is this weekend with the Washington Catholic Summer Social on the Catholic school grounds at Hefron and NE 2nd. The two day event kicks off Saturday at 5pm, and will continue all day on Sunday with the dinners starting at 11am. Home made ice cream, lots of Bingo, theme baskets, and family fun are planned for the two days. Carie went on to say the community has been great in helping prepare for the event.
