Multi County Police Chase

 

A multi county chases that started in Spencer County and ended in Warrick County last night resulted in the suspect’s arrest.

According to state police, it started at around 10-pm when police broadcasted they were on the lookout for a white Ford Escape driving recklessly headed westbound on I64 in Crawford County.

A trooper tried to stop the SUV at the 85 mile marker when it fled and exited into Perry County going over 100 miles an hour. Concerned for the safety of others, the trooper terminated his pursuit at the 69 mile marker on I64 near Dubois County.

Around 10:22-pm, another trooper was patrolling the rest park east of Dale and saw the Escape.  The SUV fled again, getting up to a hundred miles an hour headed west on I64.  At the 54 mile marker, the trooper was able to deploy stop sticks which slowed the suspect down and finally stopped in Warrick County.

31-year-old Paul Embry of Louisville, Kentucky was taken into custody without incident.  He was jailed in Spencer County for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.
