An ATV accident at 2:30 Sunday morning seriously injury a Dubois County man.
Conservation officers report that 30-year-old Lukas W. Schroeder of Huntingburg was driving an ATV in a wooded area along the Patoka River. He lost control on the trail and hit a tree head on.
Schroeder was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with head and leg injuries and was later taken to St. Mary’s in Evansville where he was admitted in critical but stable condition.
Authorities say a helmet was not in use and alcohol may have been a factor.
