Pine Ridge Elementary Schools in Southeast Dubois County was locked down Tuesday morning.

The school had received a phone call at about 10-am and the caller said they“were on the roof and were going to kill the students.” The caller then hung up.  The Dubois County Free Press says the voice sounded like a young female. After a search, an all clear was given about a half hour later.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department said this morning that they did locate the number the call came from and is one that can be purchased and used by anyone in the world like telemarketers and scammers.  After searching the grounds yesterday the threat was determined to be not credible.  However authorities are asking all to continue to be vigilant and not hesitate to call police to report suspicious activity around schools.
