Rotary grants endowment funds for landscaping

The  Washington Rotary Club presented a $913.00 grant from the Daviess County Community Foundation’s Washington Rotary Club donor-advised endowment fund today.

The grant, was presented to Washington City Park Superintendent Kip Kelley, in support t for landscaping at the city’s Highland Avenue park.

The Rotary Club Fund was established by club members in 1998.  It’s set up so the Club acts as an advisor to the fund and recommends grants to charitable projects and programs they wish to support. To date, grants totaling $4,700 supporting a variety of charitable causes have been awarded from the fund.

Donor-advised funds like the Washington Rotary Club fund may be established by individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and groups and are ideal for consolidating charitable giving effort.
