Anna M. (Noland) Frette passed away Monday.

She was the daughter of Arthur and Ane Fredrica Jensen Noland and was born Jan. 30, 1918. She graduated from Melvin High School (Illinois) in 1935 and from Gallagher School of Business (Kankakee, Illinois) in 1937.

 She married Ronald M. Frette on Oct. 1, 1939, then they moved to Odon. She was a Red Cross hospital volunteer for 23 years, helped in many blood drives, and transported cancer patients for treatment. She was a 50-year member of Daviess County Homemakers, a Vincennes District United Methodist Women board member, a member of Christian Women’s Club, and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She retired in 1980 from Naval Weapons Support Center, Crane.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years; four sisters; two brothers; a daughter-in-law (Karen); and three grandsons.

She is survived by five sons, Col. (Ret.) Richard of Swansea, Illinois, Gerry and Ruth Helen, David and Deborah, Steven and Jane, Mark and Annette, all of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, with entombment at Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Ron and Ann Frette 4-H Scholarship Fund or to Christ United Methodist Church.
