Calvin Dean Wagler

Calvin Dean Wagler, of Washington, went to his heavenly home Friday.

He was born in Terre Haute on July 10, 1956, to Verda E. (Gingerich) and Anson Wagler. Calvin was raised in Alfordsville. Calvin married the love of his life, Joie (Shingler) Wagler on Sept. 9, 1989.
Calvin worked as a truck driver for Boyd Grain. He was an elder at New Hope Christian Church. Calvin enjoyed vacationing in the Smokies and loved the outdoors. His passion was his family and sons.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Joie Wagler; mother Verda E. Wagler; sons Anson V. Wagler and Aaron D. Wagler; brothers and sisters-in-law David (Connie) Wagler, Mark (Denise) Wagler, Daniel (Rene) Wagler; sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy (Daniel) Cox, Janet (Don) Swartz, Rhoda (Dave) Swartz; sisters-in-law Pam (Rick) Puckett, Suzanne (Blane) Crabb; brother-in-law Kenneth (Bambi) Shingler; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Calvin is preceded by his father, Anson E. Wagler; and grandparents Wagler and Gingerich.
Funeral services for Calvin will be held at New Hope Christian Church with Joe Coquillard officiating at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with burial following the service at Berea Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and prior to the funeral on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Condolences can be made at www.gillsince1872.com .
