The murder investigation into 33-year-old Travis Woodruff remains open.
He died of a shotgun wound in Odon last month. 40-year-old Jefferey Dyer of Odon was named as a person of interest in the case. A day later he committed suicide with a shotgun in Baldwin County, Alabama.
The Washington Times Herald says Daviess County authorities are going to Alabama this week to collect evidence including a shotgun and shells found in Dyer’s truck. According to the article, Sherrif Jerry Harbstreit says all evidence from Indiana and Alabama will be reviewed by police and detectives and then presented to the prosecutor and coronor for their review.
