Ever buy or sell something over the internet and worry about who you’ll meet face to face. Well… so does the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
In a news release Monday… the department said that with some recent crimes in the nation involving people buying and selling in cyberspace, they are now offering their parking lot or their lobby to use when meeting someone you’ve entered into an agreement with via an on line sales arrangement.
Sherrif Jerry Harbstreit says you never know who you might meet so he wants to provide a safe place to conduct business.
If you choose to use the free service just notify the department’s communicatoins staff when you arrive.
