It’s boys sectional time and that means parking in Washington can be difficult during the tournament.
Washington Police remind us there are some rules to follow. They say they will maintain proper parking parking order for the public’s safety. They are asking the schools to advise students of the importance of proper parking. The schools have also authorized city police to strictly enforce parking regulations on school property.
We are all cautioned to observing parking regulations such as not parking at yellow lines, near fire hydrants or intersections. Don’t park in violation of posted warning signs, or across or on sidewalks. There’s no parking in alleys or posted fire lanes. Don’t park between barriers that are obviously designating no parking zones, and don’t block driveways or parking lot entrances.
There will not be announcements of parking violations during the games. If you can’t find your car or truck after the games, call the Washington Police Dept at 812-254-4410 and you’ll be told which towing service has your vehicle.
