Vincennes schools won’t join with Washington on Cenergistics proposal

Washington and Vincennes schools won’t team up on energy saving idea.

Vincennes Community Schools Superintendent Greg Parsley says
the school corporation has decided not to enter into an energy savings partnership with Washington Community Schools at this time.
A joint session of the two school boards was held earlier this month to hear a presentation from Cenergistics, an energy consulting firm based out of Texas on how they could save the two corporations money.
Parsley says while the partnership was intriguing, they have more pressing concerns right now with the condition of their elementary schools.
All four schools are in need of building upgrades to keep them operating.
Parsley says the school board has scheduled a series of public forums set for April to discuss what direction they want to go.
The first forum will be held April 2nd at 6:30 pm at Franklin Elementary School.
