Concerned people turn out to I69 meeting

Concerned residents attended a public meeting Monday night in Greenwood on the proposed Section 6 of the Interstate 69 extension from Martinsville to Indianapolis.

Residents who live along State Road 37 were concerned the expansion would cause them to lose their homes. Some worried the exits and overpasses would replace their trees and yards.
Officials said they were trying to minimize the environmental impact as they work to connect people to better jobs, education and health care.

The next public forum is scheduled for Wednesday in Martinsville.
