Financial aid experts this weekend are lending a hand to college bound Hoosiers.

During College Goal Sunday, volunteers at three dozen sites in the state will help students and their families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as FAFSA. Statewide coordinator for the event, Bill Wozniak, says it’s the most important form used to determine eligibility for both state and federal financial aid, grants, and scholarships. And he says eligibility varies.

Wozniak says completing the FAFSA correctly and by the deadline is sometimes perceived to be complicated and time consuming. But families should not feel intimidated.

The program is in its 26th year in Indiana, and has helped more than 90 thousand students complete their FAFSA.
