March for Babies Kickoff

The March for Babies event in Daviess County is set for April 11th. A kick off event for the fundraiser was Thursday at Daviess Community Hospital.


The March for Babies raises funds for find the causes of premature birth and ways to prevent it. Monies are also used to support families with a premature baby who is in newborn intensive care and help women have a full term pregnancy and a healthy child.

Recently money was donated to an a women’s hospital in Evansville for a webcam so that mothers in Daviess County can see their baby in the nic-u from here.

Mike Ball is the Division Director for March of Dimes for Southwest Indiana.
He says the focus at Thursday’s kick off was better business and the bottom line…

 


Ashley Murray is the Community Director for the March of Dimes in Southwest Indiana…she says it’s easy to get involved…..

 

 

Again the Daviess County March for Babies is April 11th. Teams raise pledges and walk in the day long event to support the cause. 700 communities across the nation get involved every year.
